During the assessment, your Triage IDVA will talk through your current circumstances and the risks involved, address any concerns and provide you with a locality based IDVA who will support you.
  2. Your dedicated IDVA will continue to support you: Once you’ve been assigned your dedicated IDVA, they will complete a support plan with you, to address any immediate risks, including making your home safe, and connecting you to any other support services offered by NIDAS that they think would be beneficial.
  3. Your support plan: The IDVA will work in partnership with you to complete your support plan and meet your aspirations to help you cope and recover from domestic abuse.
  4. If, your case goes to court:  You have the option of further support by a dedicated Court IDVA who will guide you through the Criminal Justice System conjunction with other specialist agencies such as Witness Care, or the Witness Service.
  5. What happens after the court hearing: The IDVA will make sure that you have ongoing support around you depending on your own needs to continue with your journey as you move forward away from domestic abuse.
