The purpose of the NIDAS HBA/HBV, FGM & Forced Marriage training is to provide awareness and understanding of Honour based abuse/violence (HBA/HBV), Forced Marriage (FM) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
Learning Aims
- To understand Honour-Based Abuse, Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation
- To look at national and local prevalence
- To be confident in identifying and reporting these forms of domestic abuse
- To have an understanding of the impact of these forms of abuse
- To gain knowledge of the law around HBA/FM and FGM
- To have an understanding of local and national support services
