DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the NIDAS Domestic Abuse & Children Training is to provide an understanding and enhance awareness of the impact domestic abuse has on Children and the barriers they face when seeking support. \nLearning Aims \n\nTo understand the prevalence of children and young people experiencing domestic abuse​\nTo understand the impact of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and children​\nTo understand the impact of domestic abuse on children from pre-birth onwards and the connection with trauma​\nTo recognise the signs and symptoms of trauma in children and young people​\nTo understand how to respond to disclosures of domestic abuse​\nTo be aware of support services available​\n\n40 places available.
